Meloduels
These Terms govern your use of Meloduels — the Android app, this website, and the API at api.meloduels.net (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Meloduels is a competitive music quiz. You can play Offline alone or Duels with friends using short audio previews and multiple-choice answers. Features may change as we ship updates. Some modes require energy or a Premium subscription.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, cheat, harass others, or violate these Terms.
3. Connected music services
Optional Spotify (and future SoundCloud) connection is subject to those providers’ terms. You grant Meloduels permission to read library metadata needed for packs and to stream official preview URLs. Meloduels is not affiliated with Spotify or SoundCloud. Do not attempt to rip, redistribute, or circumvent preview limits.
4. Fair play
- Do not automate play, exploit bugs, or manipulate Elo / leaderboards.
- Do not share answers mid-duel in a way that breaks competitive integrity for rated matches.
- Trash-talk the playlist, not the person — harassment and hate speech are not allowed.
5. Premium & energy
Freemium energy limits Offline and Duels. Premium is billed through Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Purchases, renewals, and cancellations follow Google Play’s rules. Energy and entitlements may take a short time to sync after purchase or restore.
6. Intellectual property
Meloduels branding, app UI, and original content are ours. Track titles, artwork, and audio previews remain property of their respective rights holders. You may not copy, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
7. Availability
The Service needs a network connection. Previews and lobbies may fail when partners or our servers are down. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Meloduels. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim or (b) EUR 50.
9. Termination
You may stop using Meloduels at any time and request account deletion via [email protected]. We may stop offering the Service or parts of it with reasonable notice when practicable.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
